At13,you sit across the river turning around pages of your favourite childhood book only to find that it does not resonate with you. Then at the brink of 20 you discover 'Merida',curly ,messed up hair princess who just like you hates getting her hair combed because well it hurts to untangle those knots, just like the knots of your life.Over time you have learned to be brave and to question things right at age 8 when you did not find your name in the family tree that your grandfather created.So somehow you ventured into a sea of referring yourself as feminist because you just know that by default settings you are one.
*One fine day you find ghosts of your life chasing you in white horses.You doubt if it's prince charming-no,your chapter 3 is still far away, so you muster your courage,hold those curls and run. On finding a safe place, you take a sharp tool and snip off those big curls and feel lighter.You misled your misery ,Hurrah!
* Not yet there are more things to learn but you're tired so you hibernate for a while with your family until you turn out to be problematic for them as well, causing trouble for your mama,who still protects you against all blames despite the fact you turned her into a bear who has to bear the brunt of taunts but you're strong and self- conscious now.
*Someone addressed you as hopeless romantic while you don't know what it means,but somehow let that be attached to you because it helps you compose better things.You read Plath and is introduced to Sartre and find interest in writing, but there is a confusion -You're on chapter 3 now and prince charming isn't around How come? Wait! You charm yourself better now, don't you, least bothered to find them anymore,wait did you ever want to find one. You're a sucker for stories and you know you're brave. So you being the poetic you, close your eyes, take deep breaths and whisper to yourself " Tiger tiger burning bright , tinker bell shall learn to fight, keep hopes in this world so high ,that someday your inner Merida shall smile: I am I am ,I am."
