1. You never said anything. I never knew who I was in your life but you made me feel special. I know actions speak louder than words but in our case, I can't just assume. I already knew how I feel for you but I never knew yours which was a burden I had to carry while we were together. Well, technically, we weren't even officially together.
2. I missed out on chances from people. Because I had to wait for you, I closed my doors because I had let you in. I turned down people who made me feel special too but because it was you whom I liked, I closed my eyes and ears because I had already chosen you.
3. I realized you were never ready. If you were, I didn't have to wait. I knew you had doubts. I had, too but I swept them aside because I thought I'd give my flicker of hope a try.
4. I was scared. As time passed by, while I waited for you, I had already imagined the same scenarios in my mind, that of you realizing you never wanted me. I had to back off first.
5.I know my worth. I don't deserve anything in fraction form. I knew my worth. I deserve to be fully loved and acknowledged which is something you never did for me. Time is of the essence. I can only live once so i'd rather hold on to my safety rope than be drowned with your quicksand emotions.
