"If I had a choice, if only I could do it, if only I were strong enough, I would choose to "unlove" you."
"Meeting you was nothing special. Meeting you again was intentional. Keeping the communication was our choice. But falling in love with you? That's outrageous for me, truly an emotional and mental torture.
But why? Why do you make me feel special? Why are your words against your actions. You say that relationships are not for you but why are you leading me on. Why are you giving me false hopes? Why don't you just leave me alone if you don't have any intentions of loving me back."
That's the problem with unrequited love. It hurts and the pain lingers. And you just can't leave because the same person who makes you miserable is the same person who makes you feel high. Leaving that person would also mean taking away your own happiness. So, you get stuck, stuck in a position of confusion when actually you aren't confused at all because you know you deserve better than what that person has to offer. You know what to do but you choose not to do it. That's gonna be a hard path to take, to stick with the person who's never unsure of their feelings and you stay still not moving. In the end, it always has to be you to decide. Loving is good but sometimes, letting go and moving on is also a way of showing your love to that person, teach them a valuable lesson that love, when unrequited, can be given to others who want it.
One day my 'what ifs' will turn into 'good thing I didn't' and everything will be fine.
