A new Proton Saga is coming?

On Malaysian social media, there are strong rumors that a brand new Proton Saga is on its way to showrooms. The truth is that this isn't a completely new Saga; rather, it's a refresh. Yes, the Proton Saga, which has been a popular selling small sedan from Malaysia's national automaker, is getting a makeover.

So, based on conversations with local Proton dealers, it appears that the newest Proton Saga will include some new infotainment capabilities, as well as a small adjustment to the existing 'upright' sedan design that gives plenty of internal room and baggage capacity.

This tiny sedan has enough characteristics to make it popular in the ride-hailing and vehicle sharing industries, with 94 horsepower and 120 Nm of torque. Single individuals and retired automobile drivers will be targeted as well, as this is a rising demographic.

The following are some of the characteristics that may stay. The Geely Auto-provided floating 7-inch touchscreen monitor that was previously only available on the premium model will most likely be accessible on all models. Bluetooth connectivity, 16GB of internal storage, and Android smartphone compatibility will all be maintained. The premium variant's reverse camera, LED daytime lighting, and Eco-Drive Assist function will be shared across all models, with a slightly reduced asking price.
