Changes: the ultra-low emissions of recent new launch of Mazda CX-60 PHEV

Info

Mazda has been ruling the roast for a long time, which marks its distinguished performance on the market. However, Mazda has been making efforts to make itself a fashion-leader to be faced with the fast-changing world, for example, it has adapted the e-Skyactiv D engine to the newly-launch car, Mazda CX-60 PHEV. Stepping towards the goal to be environment-friendly, CX-60 PHEV is available with such an engine to work more cleanly and efficiently while it also values the capacity of long-distance cars.

What’s more, Mazda has worked out a series of plans for the development in the future. The first step Mazda has made is to launch five new products with electrification with the characteristic of platform architecture with various methods. Then, Mazda will expose its advanced technology to the public, the new Skyactiv EV Scalable Architecture, which facilitates Mazda to assemble all need-to-build cars into a platform without any complex procedure.

Technically, the new engine can produce more output with less fuel consumption. The reason behind the wonderful cost performance of the new engine is that the technology named Distribution-Controlled Partially Premixed Compression Ignition (DCPCI) has been applied to it, which helps improve efficiency exceeding 40%.

These technologies make significant contributions to the CX- 60’s excellent driving range, vital driving sense and low energy consumption and emigrations.

The 254PS/ 187kWe-Skyactiv D delivers emotional performance of 0- 100 km/ h in only7.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 219 km/ h, returns a WLTP average energy consumption of just5.3 l/ 100 km and CO2 emigrations of only 137 g/ km and the 200PS/ 147kW variant returns a WLTP average energy consumption of just4.9 l/ 100 km and CO2 emigrations of only 127 g/ km.

However, Mazda will not be satisfied with what they have done for the environment. As a matter of fact, Mazda will continue to put new models on the market in the near future and stick to its way to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Let’s wait and see!
