A Note on Love

I have not known love over the past year, or I did. But this time, it's different.

This time, love comes with flashing signs. So bright that my eyes hurt. It read, in big capital letters, "NO".

Plan A: Stop.
You'll be in trouble.
Don't go near.

This time, love came while I'm not yet ready.
Love came while I'm sleeping, my eyes were closed, the shield's on the side; I am not aware.
Love able to cross from my sturdy walls.
Love banged my door.
Love pursues.
Love pushes.
Love caught me.
Love bit me.
Love entered into my system.
Love struggles with my mind.
Love grabs my heart.
Love grips it. It grips it tight.
Love brings chaos.
Love is making me crazy.
Love is not what I want.
Love is bad.
Love is complicated.
Love is not in my plans.
Love is ruining it.
Love makes me afraid.

But...

Love.
Love is making me happy.
Love is keeping me awake.
Love is a no and a yes at the same time.
Love is hard.
Love is you.
Love is she.
