Some companies spoke up after that. "We are, as always, working to make sure the FTC has the information we need," said a Twitter representative. "Discord takes user privacy very seriously. We look forward to working with the FTC to answer their questions about ongoing security activities," the Discord representative responded. Other companies have not commented yet.

This year, the FTC has conducted many antitrust and privacy investigations against the technology giants of the US. In February, the agency asked Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Microsoft for information about their previous acquisitions.
