a story of longing

a sad thought of her drifted on the shore of separation

distance called out to remind blues of change

yet like a drop on the edge patient to fall

her words seeped my  visions

i felt less lonely when i think of her

breathing softly she walked with grace

amidst intentions dark and hidden

in the face of confusion and silence

the time flew quickly and our paths changed

tonight i feel lonely, sad and helpless

tired of understanding life

exhausted of looking for meaning

people run fast and never have time for me

gone are days when i knew i want to be happy

for life and time flows into infinity sea of constant change

but i feel somewhere there is a place 

where hope must meet reality

and everyday i walk slow in search of that silence

a stillness that would set me free

from the pressure to sustain my life only with money

have you ever heard stories of longing

in one such journey

i'll be the conflict and

you'll be my conclusion.
