About a song

A few years back I saw an animation named Tir-nan-og and it was pretty amazing. What was more amazing was the spell-binding music in it. I desperately searched for the song's title and after many days of such exploration , I finally found out the song's name. It’s name was “the slow wait" by ‘the American dollar’. It might be that my intense desire to find out that specific song added to my ecstasy when I finally found it but to me that psychology matters less. The song had a mere 10 k views in YouTube. A very hidden song you may say. I can blame the modern generation for it's crude taste but I won't. Partly because I am secretive in nature and also it was the reason why I stumbled upon the then unknown-to-me genre of post-rock and post-rock bands like Hammock and Mogwai .

Not everybody may feel the same nostalgia and the plethora of emotions I feel while listening to it. I embark on a spiritual voyage of exploring all those lost continents of beautified memories and morphed dreams while listening to it. And then I didn't care, for a while, if my life has been everything but successful. The ocean of bliss is all that I could see. All the earthly anxiety didn't bother me. If an asteroid were to strike and shatter Earth into pieces, I couldn't care for I was in bliss and even the prospect of death wouldn't scare me. My sad existence was showered with a little radiance and hope. What hope ? I don't know. The hope that more such wonderful moments may enrich my life and the hope that I may keep dreaming.

A psychedelic trip , that's what it was.The way the notes of the song connected to some events of my past or triggered a sequence of emotions in my brain is far beyond my comprehension and far beyond any worldly materialistic pleasure I can ever experience. That's how beautiful music is. Your ability to hear and to feel it is a blessing and can compare to no economic wealth or luxury.
