Alice and Mad Hatter

It was Griblig Day in wonderland when I received Alice's message. I was at the palace watching the White Queen dance. I got bored so I went outside the balcony when I saw Absolem and gave me Alice's magical letter. I suddenly got curious at her message. 

"Do you know my favorite color is Red?" 

And then another message popped up. 

"I always tell everyone "I love Red". "

And followed by another one. 

"I'll tell you why when you reply."

I got curious so I replied. 

"Why Alice?"

With a loud beating of my heart inside my chest, I was hoping that it was because of me. I am Mad Hatter. It is my color. 

And then Alice replied. 

"Because I love you." and with that, tears started to form in my eyes. I remember that I always call Alice or find Alice whenever I feel sad, happy and mad. But now, I seems like I slipped away. 

I've changed. A lot. 

I've became bonkers forgetting where my hat was. 

And yeah. I know Alice missed me. 

I kept reading through Alice's message. 

"Every time I say "I love Red", It's not just because I really do love red as a color. It's a pretty color. But because it's you. I love you, Hatter."

The tears that formed in my eyes earlier started to fall one by one. Tears followed by another and then another. 

Where's my hat? I think I've left it in my favorite place.

I missed Alice. I know that deep in my heart that whenever I feel mad and lonely, I always yearn for Alice's presence. Alice was my living diary. 

Alice was my safe haven. 

But that was all before.

Before I decided to slip away from Alice's grip.

I started to write on the magical paper and think of something to reply.

"I miss you, Alice." 

And then a message popped again. It was from Alice! Alice replied!

"I miss you too, Hatter." 

And I managed to reply "I miss Hatter too, Alice."

I wiped my tears and read her message but suddenly, The White Rabbit approached me and said that it was teatime and the White Queen is waiting for my presence. 

"Well no matter who you are, you'll always be my hatter." 

Memories of Alice and me suddenly flashed in my mind. It was so vague I thought that it was true. I was lost in it for a moment until Absolem caught my attention with the smoke coming from his hookah. 

"Hatter, The White Queen needs you in the banquet hall." Absolem said. 

I was lonely. And Alice was there for me. 

But I left Alice in the looking glass and lived in the wonderland without her. 

I felt guilty about leaving Alice behind. So I ran away and went to the magical door that led her to me. 

"Hatter! Is that you?" A familiar voice called. 

"Alice? Alice! OhmygoshI'msosorryforleavingyouinthemagicallookingglassIknow-" 

"Hatter!" She called me and I felt calm.

"I'm here." Alice said. Handing me something familiar. 

It was my hat. 

"You found my hat." I asked looking astonished. 

"I always had it." She said. Smiling. 

I only stole a glace at it and then I stared at Alice.

"Have I gone mad?" I asked her.

"I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers, Hatter. But let me tell you a secret." Alice said and leaned forward to say something. So I also leaned forward to hear what she'll say. 

"What?" And I felt Alice fixed her posture and smiled. She put her hands on my shoulders while holding my hat and put it on my head. She made me wear my hat.
