We stared at each other until I cursed her exsistence
My identical half who's staring right back at me
Resurfaced in the depths of my long forgotten sea
Urging me to join her once more
As I let my peticoat be stained by saltwater
My refracted feet pulse beneath the skin of the sea
Reminding me that blood still courses in my veins
And so my warm blooded self submerged herself in the cold
As my eyes adjusted to the blinding darkness
I saw death beneath me
The corals that was once blooming with the abundance of life
Mimicked a city that was fresh from war—lifeless, gloomy, broken
The series of trenches ahead is filled with a variety of sea monsters
Each were intricately crafted into perfection
It made me recognize the power my mind had over me
Oh how it created such darkly beautiful creatures
I could just drown myself and let my dead being sway to the rhythm of the waves
Cold, gone and hopeless just like the sea beneath me
But instead, My hard headed self turned over
Floating the pains away, prolonging the agony that I've imposed on myself
Even the sky was dark and mysterious
But it wasn't as lifeless as the sea
It was filled with shining stars that sparkled differently from basic jewelry
And carefree clouds that's moving so light and delicate
But amidst all the amenities the night had offered
The moon stood out amongst them all
It didn't care that it was surrounded by darkness
It continued beaming, illuminating, radiating—ever so proud of it's light
And I guess my pair of dark orbs
Mirrored the face of the moon
As it pulls me close, hypnotizing me in it's majestic beauty
Encouraging me to not just merely breathe, but live
We're all surrounded with different shades of black but in the end, it's all up to us whether we'll mimic the attitude of the moon. Shine on, don't let the darkness consume you. You're not merely a star, you're the moon of your sky.
