Another piece of my heart

Info

It breaks. It does. There's nothing you can do to keep it from cracking and shattering into bits and pieces but not letting it sway, or playing into someone else's hands. And it seldom happens. It's just not possible.

Another piece of my heart just left. It left me with another pile of regrets, a different sort, with sorrow and an enormously sized void that can never be fully filled. This part felt different though, and I'm glad to have had it. I wish it stayed for longer. I at least expected it to.

If I had only known, that time would do us apart, I would've held him for longer, kissed him better, showered him with all the love anyone can possibly have. I wish that I did. I just didn't. I feel so hollow.

It's almost a dream. It doesn't feel real. But it is.

My 2:00 a.m. cravings for writing have been evoked. I just don't know how to do it anymore.
