People talk about beauty,
In people
In things
In thoughts
And emotions.
People see beauty
In seemingly complete things
In perfectly-timed photographs
And in flowing poetry.
●
A captivating picture
Of a pretty flower,
The one with the rain drops
About to splash on its petals,
Is a lie.
A momentary truth, a forever lie.
●
In moments,
The flower gets drenched,
And falls of the plant
In the torrential rains,
The very rain which made it beautiful,
Becomes the reason of it's death,
Gets stepped upon,
Eventually perishing into nothingness.
●
But who says this isn't beautiful?
For me it is.
There is a strange melancholic beauty,
In how that glorious picture
Is a beautiful lie.
That moment captures
The utter longing of the flower
To kiss raindrops
But fails to show
The future where
It eventually dies
Because
Of the very same raindrops.
●
The melancholy I see
Behind the moment's beauty
Is the way,
How no matter how unbelievable it seems,
There was a moment so perfect
When this beautiful lie,
Was an overwhelming truth.
An open letter to every human being out there, breaking the everyday myths you carry.
00A short tale of how a law tears apart the most beautiful of relations.
