Body Positivity as a Lifestyle

Info

Body positivity's a difficult term for everyone. Some find it easily, whilst others see it as an unobtainable treasure. We’re all on a journey to self-acceptance, and some will try to find love along the way. Romance doesn’t have to wait while we discover ourselves. It’s all about finding the right dating site for you.

What Does it Mean to the Concept of “Body Positivity”?

The idea of body positivity will mean something different to everyone. Being positive about all body types/ shapes is an impressive movement in the world we live in. With the media pushing the ‘ideal’ body, many are left feeling dejected. Finding self-love and acceptance will enhance your life in many ways. Not only will your mental health be stronger, but you will also be fussier over who you let in.

Pros and Cons of a Body-Positive Lifestyle

Nothing and no one’s perfect. Subsequently, there are pros and cons to a body-positive lifestyle. However, this shouldn’t stop you from embarking on this journey! There are more pros than cons when it comes to loving yourself.

Pros:

● Better mental health. You'll experience reduced internal battles.

● Healthier concept of friendships and romance. When you love yourself, you won't stand for anyone giving you sub-par affection.

● Chance to appreciate your beauty. Everyone is beautiful in their own way. It’s time you see yours.

● Opportunity to rebel against the media’s standards. Media's quick to tell us how we should look but doesn't appreciate us.

Cons:

● Some people may find it intimidating;

● There’s no clear end. You will always be working on this.

The idea of body positivity having cons may seem counterintuitive, but it is necessary to acknowledge the struggles. Others will find your confidence and self-love intimidating, but this intimidation will only weed out people not worthy of being in your life. Additionally, there's no clear end to body positivity. Your body grows and changes all the time. So, you will always be making moves to be body positive and to love yourself. You’re worth all the effort.

Dating and Relationships: What Effect Does Body-Positivity Have on Them?

Body positivity impacts your dating life, and you may not realize it. Without self-love, you will accept a level of affection that isn’t enough. For example, if you love yourself 30% and someone only loves you 40%, that will feel like a lot to you. You deserve the best, so love yourself entirely, so others have no choice but to as well. Many girls with an idea of body-positivity in mind prefer bbw dating sites that help build strong relationships. Finding a dating tool suited to your journey will enhance your experience with self-love. Body-positivity will help in the relationship as well. There's nothing worse than hearing a loved one speak poorly of themselves. Love yourself and show your partner how to do the same.

Criticism of the Public that Accompany People Living with Body-Positive Idea

Invariably, men and women who show body-positivity are criticized as being “full of themselves”/ “arrogant.” This isn’t true; jealousy is the fuelling factor for haters of the body-positivity lifestyle. We understand you're your own worst critic, but why listen to a bully? Your body carries you and provides everything you need to survive. We should find ways to thank it for carrying on. Loving yourself will be a challenging journey, but a necessary one. Body positivity should be the norm; unfortunately, you seem to be the odd one if you don’t bash yourself. Let’s switch this twisted public perspective and love ourselves! We're all fantastic, and it’s about time we acknowledge this.

Not everyone feels they're worthy of love in any form. Body positivity doesn’t come naturally, but it will one day. You will wake up one day, and all the hard work you put in will fall into place. It could be one month or years in the making but start today. There are hundreds of methods to try, what works will vary for everyone. Peruse the internet and see what interests you. Maybe mediation is the way forward? Or wearing clothes you're too shy to wear. Find your method and rock it! The first step starts with your willingness to change love yourself.
