I have a story to tell,
Of four kids but adults to blame,
One thing is common among the four of them,
They cry themselves to sleep after wiping their eyes with the bedsheet's hem.
The first kid is nine,
All he wishes for is a good time,
A little for fun, A little for education,
But he doesn't know that for poor there is no salvation.
So he wakes up at five everyday,
With his father, he goes to the feilds filled with hay,
He has given up his studies long back,
After all feeding his family is a knack,
The second one is twelve,
Wishes that her parents whose picture lies on the shelves,
Come back and save her from this hell,
Her mother had taugh her about bad touch and it rings a bell.
She can't complain, she has to bear everyday,
The brunt of the orphanage's owner's lust without any say,
She wants her parents to read the letters she has written,
But she knows that from death there is no return.
The third one is fifteen,
Ohh how she wishes to know how her real mom has been,
She tries to call her everyday,
To tell her she loves her come what may,
But her new mom is in the form of an evil step mother,
All her love is only for her step brother,
She is tired of hearing her step mothers taunts she has reached the brim,
Atleast she is thankful that unlike her friend her mom doesnt beat her up on whim.
The fourth one's story would be familiar I guess,
Yes he is the friend of the mother-less,
His dad comes home late everyday,
Intoxicated in every way.
The sixteen year old misses his mom too,
But what his father does, he doesnt do,
Everyday he goes to school, wearing sunglasses,
People think, he thinks he is cool, but it is only to hide the black eyes from the masses.
Now you would know this is a story of child abuse,
Torturing kids is not amuse,
Being a cowardly adult is pathetic,
Oh to beat up children, how can you be so satanic?
