Dear Childhood, I Miss You.

What are we but those childhood days staying up late and waking up late, Those carefree lanes, Candies, Ice lollies and school.

What are but our summer vacation, grandparents and stories, mangoes, rasna, cotton candies, water balloons, Play grounds, bat and ball, running bare foot, Playing your heart out till sun go down, Golgappas, ice creams.

What are we but rainy days, clouds crying, power cuts, scare for thunders and lighting, playing in the puddle of water, muddy water splashing all over, paper boats, coloured umbrellas, Rain coats, skipping school, pakkodas, blanket tents.

What are we but Uniform, two side braid, ribbons, fresh smell of stationary, geometry box, brown papers, teachers yelling, unnecessary pee breaks, intervals, pen fights, PT hours, sharing tiffin, birthdays, homeworks, test , score, board exam, marksheet.

What are we but our first bicycle ride. Our first best friend, secrets and stories told, Walking hand in hand, pinky promises, Cheetos, bytes, Maggie, powerpuff girls, ben 10, Hannah Montana, Pokemon, superheroes, monsters under bed.

What are we but those giggles, late night texts, plans made and unmade, Teenage drama, photographs.

What are we but our first love, FLAMES, those cheesy quirks, 2am confession, stolen kisses, head over heels and in over our head, our first heart break and year soaked pillows, puffy eyes, low attendance at school.

What are we now but living our own way. Making our own way and having new dreams. Reading between lines and crossing boundries, promises broken, secrets and stories untold.
