On the Occasion of "Radha Asthami", here is a little tribute to the Woman who taught us the true meaning of Love and the strength of a Woman...
Dear Radha
I lingered through the streets of Vrindavan in search of elusive mysteries,
Suddenly I felt I saw you -Radha- too human a Goddess as if hiding behind the Basil Bushes for your beloved Krishna.
I saw your wild heart untamed and free from the worldly ties..
Your Bangles were your armour and the Bindi was like the Third Eye.
Your twinkling eyes spoke the desires of your heart- your passion to follow your instincts.
You dance to the tunes of Krishna's flute- unaware of the world around.
You are a flash of lightning and the calmness of the Ocean all at once.
Your serenity and demeanor is what makes you strong,
You taught the world the true meaning of Love- A love that knows Sacrifice...
As I left for home- I longed to take back the wild heart of yours with me,
A heart that remains carefree from the shackles of the society and knows
How to Love beyond Age and Time...
