Despite the Places I've Been

Have you ever felt suffocated while traveling?
Like your heart suddenly races so fast
and you're trapped inside a bus
sitting rigidly on your seat,
looking at the flashes of objects outside,
trying to calm yourself without knowing
why you're suddenly panicking and you
don't know what else to do but to close
your eyes, clench your fist, bit
your lips, and whisper
very quietly, "You'll get there."
But your mind is in constant reminder
that you'll never be.
