Difference between a gentleman and a lover

So it appears all this while what i was thinking is Love was just a gentleman showing his gentle manliness to me without any intention of love.

So if a guy comes to the parking of your apartment to pick you up because it is raining outside, it is not because of love but only because he s a gentlemen.

If a guy asks you to drink a lot of water to avoid kidney stones, it is only because he s a gentleman

If a guy asks you to dry your wet hair because you may catch cold; then it is only because he is gentleman and he asks  that to every girl.

If a guy asks you to eat  properly or finish your meal, it is only because he is a gentleman.

if a guy introduces you to his cousin on 3rd date, it's only because he s a gentleman and thinks of you as a good friend

if a guy advises you on your career, it is only because he s a gentlemen

if a guy lets you take a sip of his hot chocolate while you still have a  bad breath, again it is only because he s a gentleman.

have I been a fool to think that the above gestures meant Love or anything more  than friendship? or was it only show-off from his end to get his way with me.
