From the moment I first laid eyes on you, I knew we were entirely different
I was nobody and you were somebody
I was a wallflower and you were that rose everybody wants to pluck
I was the ground that everybody steps on and you were the sky that everybody looks up to
Despite of those, I still continued chasing the impossible
With one thought in my complex mind
Opposite attracts
Two words were enough
And after all our differences, we were both magnets
We stayed strong for a while
The thought of you running in my mind kept me busy which made me forget that you were a rose
And like a beautiful rose that will always wilt — you didn't last
As quickly as I comprehended that we were different, the Gordian knots befell
And the only formula to untie those knots was to think outside the box
But instead of thinking for a solution, you thought for an escape plan
Like a rocket launched to the sky, piece by piece of us were left suspended in the air
And once again, we were different
I remained positive, you didn't
I held on, you let go
I stayed, you left
