Once I fell in love with a boy with gold hair.
His hair flew and sparkled in the thin air.
His eyes were the bluest of blue;
And his lips, glittered the faintest red hue.
He talked like an epitome of Adam,
His gaze, oh what a way to be damned.
Our houses were in close proximity,
But his eyes never lay on me, it was insanity.
I did everything I could do to make him see me,
Act pretty, be smart, even laugh like a meme.
But he never did, not even once
And I was dying, yelling "Please give me a chance!"
One day, I was walking in the green sad forest.
When I heard his voice, shouting, dear he was a mess.
He was kneeling, crying in front of a chair.
I was baffled then, but I couldn't help but stare.
I hid in the bushes, listening, feeling.
After a while, he stopped and stood, his eyes full of yearning.
He put a rose in the chair, his eyes turned into the darkest shade of blue.
Wiping his eyes, he whispered in the air,
"My dear Annabelle, I will never bid farewell."
Then I knew what caused his despair.
He's in love with a dead woman, he has a lifeless pair.
I know I should feel hurt for I finally knew,
But my heart betrayed me for now it was calling this Belle too.
My eyes stung, tears came to fall down my cheeks.
Then I ran, leaving the boy I love who's looking meek.
I clutched my heart and looked at the sky.
Wiping my tears, I engraved a smile,
for now I realized that you cannot fall to someone who's still falling too.
