Family

Family.
A group consisting of two parents and their children loving together as a unit.
I have a mother, a father and a sister and we live under the same roof.
So literally speaking, I have a family.

But what the Google definition of family misses is that family is the group of people who are there for you through thick and thin, who accept you as you truly are, who know you better than yourself.
Family is the people you love,amd the people who love you back.

So metaphorically speaking, I don't have a family. Trust me I don't even know what that word means first hand.

Because I have a family that can't stand who I really am. I have a family who has caused me more emotional trauma than anyone.
I assure you, family does not mean comfort and happiness.

I have a father who would happily choose my education over my happiness.
They say your family believes in you more than you believe in yourself.
Well, my parents believe I am not a tad bit more capable than to do the most minor job.
My dreams, my wishes, my happiness, mean nothing to them.

I have a mother, who taunts me every single second about everything I have done, she makes me feel worse about myself by the day.
She is the most judgemental woman I know, which is the reason I hide so much from her.

I have a sister, who is two years younger to me, who finds out about my secrets and then threatens to reveal it to my parents.
She never lets me touch anything she owns, because she believes that I pollute them.
She hates every aspect of mine, and would rather kill herself than become me.
So much love.

But nothing beats all of them combining to insult me so much, that I cry. They make me feel so worthless.

So these are the three closest people on my life, my family.
Call me a rebel, but if this is the family I've got, then I am the definition of cursed.
