GENERATION GAP

"Dont read that Novel(Men are from Mars Women are from Venus) " came a calm and strict voice from Mummy. "I will read it.,its doesn't contain any offensive or sexual content,i m 27 and i know what i m reading" i screamed in a most stubborn way. i was trying to explain her that this book only give us the idea about Men and Women thinking towards each other. My mummy still in those expression was standing and staring me badly and in quite a composed way she told me "listen i know you may think i m very much narrow minded with all the stuff and novel u read..but i m giving u what i have been told a decade ago. Novels only divert your mind in a wrong direction,and the Novel which you are reading is not appropriate for now." after saying all this she left the room and me alone with my unwanted & senseless anger. she understood that i will not understand her. but i took a moment and kept myself in her shoes and realised whatever she is saying to me ,one day i will be in her place and my next generation will be tough to handle..so instead of understanding her views, instead of explaning her my views..i ruined everything . i rushed immediately to mummy and apologized and then said "I am sorry ,you were just trying to explain me that there is a thin line between doing something before marriage and after marriage. i m in a relationship but i should understand him after marriage. atleast for parents respect i should listen to you" .

PS: I just wanna convey this our parents are never wrong. They have there own mindset and they are from the Most patience Generation. They got less but they wanna give more. but we,the new generation, instead of understanding them,we loose our temper and run away from responsibility. Try to understand them,respect them and do share the todays generation stuff like smart phn use,whatapp,and Fb thing.!! Let them be aware of it.
