What happens when we grow up
I don't think anybody really knows,
Everybody seems to be pretending
For some reason unknown.
Living, travelling, earning.
Or are we just kids pretending to be adults.
Is that all to life or there's something more
Something greater than all that's 'good and pure'
Something what hearts really procure
I wonder if we're all really grown up
Like it is shown in the movies.
Serving, slandering, smoking.
Or are we just kids trying act like one.
Why is there no more breakfast in the morning
Why there's no enquiry on bieng late
For i remember my father saying
Nothing is permanent in this life
And everything will fade
Enough melancholy for a morning
For I am running late,
To get all dressed up and to start
Acting like an adult
With an empty breakfast plate.
What would you do when your train is 16 hours out of schedule. Write a poem of course.
