Half-Hearted Penning

Info

Her true desires have been drained
As all her life she's been trained
Not to be greedy and selfish
And not want anything lavish.

For once in her youth, however
She wanted something for forever
But no matter what utters her lip
She always has to loosen her grip.

All the time she has to let go
She's been too scared of getting a "no"
To protect her heart she needed walls
Even if it means she won't hear their calls.
