Him

I woke up, early in the morning

I saw him, across the bed, smiling

As if he's happy, he's existing

And he smiled at me, grinning

As I read his lips saying "good morning"

He caressed me with his soft brown hands

And kissed me at my forehead

Still floating, due to the warm breeze of my dreams

And the feeling of loneliness that lingered last night

I saw a couple, happy, energetic

I read a novel full of love and innocence

I watched a group laughing their hearts out

Then I saw me, at the corner of the scene

I thought to myself "how lonely I am"

With no partner ever since I began

And people seemed to avoid me, wherever I go.

Drowning on my own pool of pity

Then he appeared, gleaming with smiles

Then back to the present, he's still here

Lying beside me, watching me thoughtfully

Then he whispered to me "rise and shine little hero"

I blinked for a second, and then he was gone

Who was he? Why was he here?

Then I suddenly remembered his existence on this world

He was the one who saved me

The one who comforted me

The one who supported me

The one who cared for me

The one who guided me

The one who was there when everyone else wasn't

I see him when I'm angry, when I'm sad or when I'm hurting

To remind me that life is still a beauty

I see him when I'm alone, in the corner of the room

To make me feel not lonely, that I can be on my own

And to remember the other people

That are with me the whole time

I now know who you are

Thank you, for being with me, for everything

As I stand up from my bed, wiping my tears

He's once again in my heart, for I am him
