They said life is too short to wait.

And I believed, since I'd already

waited for too long,

I should wait until the end 

of our favorite song.

And we had more than one favorite.

He had to not come.

I had to not stop waiting.

And there it was,

the end of my unhealthy beliefs.

And the pride of not leaving first.

Trust me if you want to,

No matter how unhealthy it sounds,

That feeling of being the loyal one,

Healed the heart which was left.
