Quite the audacious one,
You who has little faith
Tell me, how has Life
reprimanded you?
Has it pushed you off a cliff
And into the arms of another,
Only to have you drown,
Abandoned in the waters?
Or has it trapped you in embraces
And goodnight kisses,
Only to have you rot in dungeons
Where the sun refuses to shine?
Has it set you on fire
With tongues and touches of passion,
Only to leave you drenched
And swimming in ashes?
Or has it left you tied to train tracks
Hanging on his every word,
Only to have a freight train
Reduce you to rubble?
Quite the audacious one,
You who speak of broken hearts
And croocked lovers
Tell me, how has Life
reprimanded you?
