I Faked a Smile

Info

A faded silhouette stood in there, few meters away. Our blurry eyes talked without any words. I can distinguish blissfulness in there, in her eyes. It lasted for a sluggish minute, like everything around’s not moving.

Lonesome tears flowed from mine, my weary tired eyes. I saw her too, holding it in, creating sparkles from a faded distance. A strong manly hand held hers, like it’ll not be taken away by any well-cultivated bandit. The ground where we stood seemed to be like separated, cracked. The distance between us grew wider and I couldn’t do anything. Yes, she’s taken now. She’s deeply inlove with someone else. She’s into someone who, I think, can make her truly happy. And I guess she’s right. I hope she’ll be fine. I‘m sure he’s the one she ever wanted, not me.

So I faked a smile, like letting a balloon fly high up in the sky, like giving an angel a pair of wings, like looking straightly at the one you love and tell her that it’s time to walk away, and like being happy for someone you wanted to be happy. She smiled too, but I looked back swiftly, and walked onward, for her not to notice, not to worry about me.

Then the tragically cheerless drizzle poured all it’s might on the miserable soils waiting for a new hope to sprout again.. from me, for me to be in high spirits, eventually.
