I wish I Could Forget...

I wish I could forget the beautiful memories...

 that have turned to be a deep pain.

The dreams that I dreamt of dreaming together,

The silent wishes that I wished you would hear,

The unending conversations that had never begun...

I wish we could walk together hand in hand...

But Alas! You are beyond my reach.    

Or am I the one who is moving away???

I thought you would understand me - 

my pains, my passions, and my love for you...

I thought you would recognize the grief underneath my smile,

And the fears under my tears....

But NO!  You were too busy to see them...

And all you saw was the veil that I wore and not me...

Even when I tried to unveil myself to you - 

You remained ignorant ....... 

Everything is over now...

And I wish I could forget- forget everything.

But how can I forget when I am afraid....

Afraid to forgive you and moreover me,

Afraid to forgive the cupid that never saw us,

Afraid to let you go way................
