It's not like I cannot see
But being back here in this pit
'It's just not that easy'
It's a bit unlit here
Cold and dark— and I am blinded
by the lights you offer
that I still can't seem to reach
'Please do not look down on me'
It's not like I don't want to get out
But I keep getting pulled back
In the darkness— it's hard for me to seek
the lights you all offer
from the hands I try to cover
to see the light left in me, fading
'Please let me lit it up by holding me'
Please do understand, please
With your utmost patience, hold my hand
It's hard to walk through the dark
From the clouded vision getting through me
It's just getting too comfortable here—
But please pull me out the darkness
when you know it's already too much
Even when darkness got into me,
I still have my ears to hear,
Blood rushing through me—
My heart's just heavy, but it still can beat
'You are not alone'— sometimes we all just need a hand to hold
For us to be heard through the deafening thoughts—
hold us tighter more so when we're falling apart
We sometimes just need your presence
We then can pull back the pieces together next
'You are not alone'— through this journey,
you'll get through this rough road in time
Open your eyes, you may see blur for a while
but I hope you feel
the warmth of the hands reaching out to you
'There are people willing to pull you out of the dark'
※ sometimes, sadness can be the most comforting and silent
