Just A Glance

It all started with a glance.

A sudden glimpse of an eye, your gaze met mine.

Maybe it was just an accidental look.

Yet for a second, I was hooked.

You were just standing at the other corner.

Yeah, I am sure we don't know each other.

But deep inside me, there's something that bothers.

Perhaps, a sort of curiosity grows and lingers.

For the second time, our eyes met again.

At first, I believe it was merely an accident.

But a part of me is saying it could be by intent.

I brushed away the thought, I don't want to be upset.

I tried to look away, but my eyes glued at you.

Ask me why, well I don't have a clue.

It might seem too good to be true.

For I know by now, I just screwed.

Decided to go and cut this simple connection we had.

Let's now consider the benefit of the doubt.

Both of us know we got into something.

This is real and this isn't for nothing.

Someday, I would search for that glance again

from that stranger in the crowd; waiting in vain.

You sent me this thought that I couldn't explain.

Right before your eyes, I couldn't contain.

When will I see you, only God knows.

Hoping this curiosity would stay and grow.

If it's God's will, we would know

this somewhat special feeling which only our eyes could show.
