I'd like to share an experience I had today.
I was busy complying my requirements for an application when he opened the door behind me. I greeted him like I was a staff in the office when in fact I was an applicant myself. I giggled and told him I was joking.
That was how we first met, effortless and in a funny way.
He was inquiring about the same application as mine and luckily, I already knew what he was asking so I kindly offered him a nice chat about everything I knew. He complied so we walked outside together.
He offered his hand and introduced himself and so did I. He also bought a nice cup of coffee for me. I explained to him everything he needed to know. He was a charming guy. He spoke with convictions and confidence. In the end we realized we were of the same age. Nice! It was really getting interesting when we had so much in common.
My mind was already going crazy. This guy is just the ideal guy for me. We talked and talked about many sensible topics, family, life work and more. I loved talking with him.
Everything was perfect except for one thing that I didn't realize during the whole time we were together. He had a shiny gold wedding ring worn on one of his fingers. I asked about it and he said he was married.
For a while, I was personally enthusiastic about someone. I had hope. I met him in a click and realized he was a passer by in my life.
As I got off his car and bid my good bye that one hit afternoon, I let go of that tiny hope. It would never be right. Though we exchanged digits, I hope not to hear from him. That would be safer and easier.
Life never fails to surprise me with the craziest things like meeting someone I like who's married. Isn't it ironic? Don't you think?
