So deceiving, so fake
So beautiful and mindless
So pretty and wrapped up
So wild without a harness

So cold, cruel and perfect
So flexible , so you can bend it
So dull, yet so much more colourful
Planned and secretive, yet unending
Lies,
It ensnares the mind like a vicious snake
Taking up the power all for itself
It travels down to every single vein
Leaving you like an empty bookshelf
Lies,
They control you without you knowing it
It feeds itself into you like a parasite
It twists and turns , but never hurts
Yet eats bit by bit from your inside
Lies,
So much fun , so invented
Such a masterpiece, such a dream
Giving so many pretty little moments
While sucking at your life force from within
And at last...lies...such a prize
So world renowned and still so feared
The best thing being - you cannot see it
