Loosing something I never had

I lost everything, leaving me lonely

I had no one to turn to

No on to talk to

No shoulder to cry on

Or hand to hold

I had nothing

Nothing but you

And of course I didn't actually have you

But just having you on this Earth was enough

I had your presence to fall back on

When the world was trying to knock me down

The simple fact that not everything with you was ruined was enough to keep me going

And for a second seeing that you took the time to spend it on me made me the happiest person ever

But then I saw that simple picture with the simple five words that were sent to you

But you had not made any comments on it, I knew everything was ruined

That the on thing I had in life that gave me joy was ruined because of a stupid joke

But of course you didn't take it as a joke because the thought of someone thinking we were more than strangers to each other was horrific to you

And now that that fact was confirmed it made me feel empty

Emptyer than before I lost something I never had

Emptyer than I have ever felt even more empty than when I lost the one person who once mention everything to me

Because somehow loosing something I never had a chance to have was more heartbreaking than loosing something I did.
