A letter of an innocent girl who is drenched in the intolerable pain of a monthly curse.
Dear menstruation,
Every month you come and travel me to another world;
A travel of crimson, pain, loneliness and perplexity,
A pilgrimage from shrine to hell;
Ohh sorry, it totally skipped my mind,
That I don't go to shrine during menses;
But mini-me always asked one question,
Which always stuck in my mind;
Didn't the goddesses ever release menstrual??
Ofcourse, yes- goddesses are women,
And it's a normal for every female;
Then why was she inside the holy palace?
Why had she sat besides our god?
Why should only we follow this racist rule?
Sometimes I get a dilemma inthat;
What is a period??
Periods mean sin,
Blemish on my clothes is sin;
Stain on my bed sheet is sin,
Carrying a stayfree in hand is sin;
The ignorance of society is a shame,
hiding my periods is a shame;
hiding sanitary peds is a shame,
I made to feel guilty for a period is shame;
"A question for you my reader:"
Periods, sin or shame???
From,
Your slave....
