To the guy who made me fall in love again,
Our time was short and sweet. It was unexpected. You've put my guards down, the Great Wall as you call it. Surprisingly, I did not anticipate it. That you'd get me flowing by what I thought endless river of your ways. I did enjoy riding it with you. From the sleepless nights, where our yawns start to reach sunrise. From the celebration of my twenty-fifth birthday that also proclaims the celebration of our first meeting. Since then, our nights became young as you would go to me every other night then there's me telling you the places I'd want you to take me.
Coffee in our hands, sipping it through the cold breeze of the sea as the light of the moon shines above us - our favorite thing to do at our favorite spot. Quite romantic to think that even I still smile just by the thought of it when I myself were present at that very moment. Priceless. And it's all because I'm doing it with the person I fell in love with. But I guess such fairytales are only temporary when one of a kind experience isn't really that affordable for me. Time has come when our nights are no longer young but rather slow and boring, when our conversations dry out even if the sun hasn't risen yet, when our coffees gone cold even if we haven't taken a sip, and when the moon's light shine bright but it is no longer the two of us below it.
Maybe such fairytales aren't for always and the ones capable of living within it are not bound to a unescapable reality. And so as our story ends, there's no such thing as 'happily ever after'. But, it was nice that I get to be endlessly happy whenever I am with the person I thought who's gonna be my prince. Mistakenly, he was a just a knight in a broken, fragile armor. Actually defenseless and never prepared. I used to say that he is the guy I fell in love with. Now, he is just a guy who made me believe in forever.
Then again, I have to remind myself that I am not capable of living in the world of fairytales.
