My Kind of Horror
You said you are scared of ghosts
You whined, you wept
You screamed out your voice
But dear, I am not scared of those.
You said you can’t watch horror films
For fear that ghosts would haunt your dreams
And yet I told you quietly
That dear, that kind of horror is not real.
Horror is not scary ghosts
Nor monsters you see on TV shows
Those myths they told us when we were young
Are far away from reality.
Horror is a shaken faith
A sudden death with no finesse
Horror is the sudden turn
Of life events that’d make you gloom.
Horror is when you sleep
And wake up with face covered by tears
Caused by dreams of memories
when you were weak, young, and a victim.
Horror is the sudden return
Of past people you wished were in urn
But then they haunt, knock on your door
To take back, to hurt you, to destroy your soul.
Horror is screaming without voice
Or crying alone in a dark road
Horror is holding onto someone
Only to let you go and wander alone.
Horror is to believe
When people said they will not leave
Only to turn their backs and walk away
From you who stupidly held onto your faith.
Horror is when you thought that He
Would hold your hands and let you be
In his warm hugs and warm arms
Only to leave you cold, lifeless, and dull.
Horror is to suffer
Without anyone who would care
Nor anyone who would listen
From stories of your endless pain.
Horror is your thoughts
Haunting you in every road
Thoughts of bleeding, dying
Your soul crying.
Horror is when you already tried your best
Yet, you ended up with failing grades
The day when skies have fallen for
People heard the death of a bachelor.
Horror is the pain, those tears
From your mother's
Those eyes that is caused by you
The day you made yourself gone from this world.
Horror is to hear about someone's death,
A person you have just met
And yet you did not even think
How he has thought of dying then.
Horror is what she felt
As she spoke those words
and thought of you,
Of the day she had broken up with you.
Horror is when people leave
Horror is when you lose who you need
Horror is when someone you thought would save you
Has shifted direction, walked away from you.
Horror is the hurting, the pain
Caused by people, who left you in vain
Horror is to ask yourself
To ask the reason of your existence.
Horror is when you are exhausted already
Horror is when you felt dying already
Horror is when you're dead already.
Horror is to be gone from life already.
Horror is separation
Horror is the end
Horror is when there is no goodbyes
Between two friends before falling apart.
Horror is our memories
Horror is my regrets
Horror is the things we've done wrong
Horror is when you thought you were still strong
Horror is our monsters
Depression, the world
Horror is people's thought
Horror is yourself.
