My Mom is kinda like the 'coffee' that burns the tongue,

But still the kind that keeps me awake and going strong;

My Mom is kinda like the sky with dark grey clouds,

But still the silver lining that breaks through the odds;

My Mom is kinda like the day when everything goes wrong

But still I have a good night's sleep for a better morn;

My Mom is kinda like the puzzle to which I always lose some pieces

But still the picture completes perfectly on its own;

My Mom is kinda like the metro train I'm on everyday:

It's crowded like hell, but it still takes me places;

My Mom is kinda like every smelly med ever made,

But still it's what fixes me every time I'm out of form;

My Mom is kinda like the ice right out of fridge,

Which gives you the chills alright, but melts when warmth you give;

My Mom is kinda like the blank page, spotless and clueless

Yet, sprinkle the magic ink and all answers you will get;

My Mom is kinda like every Mom and kinda not

Cuz deep inside she's still a child, on surface, a messy knot;

My Mom is kinda like the blue and the green and the red;

Calm and quiet, good to go, alert, Danger ahead!

My Mom is kinda like the poem I could never complete,

Cuz she's an idea with which even words can't compete;

My Mom is kinda like a a world, in all places I be,

Cuz I'm kinda like my Mom and Mom is kinda like me...
