Poetry, once, saved my life,
From the bleeding I felt in my heart.
It tried to bring me the light,
And became the remedy I want.
Poetry, once, saved my life.
When the world seems upside down,
It came to the rescue and held my hand.
And never let go of my broken heart.
Poetry, once, saved my life.
Came flashing with a blinding light,
Despite the darkness it has to fight.
Mend my soul from losing its sight
Poetry, once, saved my life.
Lift me up from the cloudy frights.
With a distinct losing mind,
And a hopeless little heart.
Poetry, once, saved my life.
But everytime it saved me,
The more I redeemed myself to darkness,
And this poetry that, once, saved my life.
Became the sole reason that I end it.
