My Storm

Her mind is a lake,

Calm serene, and at peace under the crescent moon,

Undisturbed, unperturbed,

Everything is still like a dreary dream.

Of a maiden waiting for her lover,

She stares at the water,

The night is silent with its secrets,

It dreams of meeting the day,

But sadly it can never happen,

She waits for long but as the night sleeps deep,

No one came,

No sound of footsteps was heard,

With the moon as the only light,

She is just a shadow in the mysterious night,

One with the night,

Her mouth is shut,

Yet inside her is a broken heart,

Inside is a hymn of melancholy,

Piercing with a sorrowful melody,

Oh love don’t make me wait all my life,

Where are you? She asks,

And pulls her dainty feet out of the water and leaves,

Then a storm came and swept over the peaceful lake.
