Nightmare in Reality

I had a dream. 

In that dream, I was just walking..

Just walking on a dark endless path.

Just walking.. towards an unknown destination.

I remember there were people walking along with me;

Family..

Friends..

Acquitances..

And even strangers..

As I continue to walk, the number of people around me decreases and increases simultaneously. 

I remember being happy, for sure. But above all, I remember feeling loneliness..

Pain..

Grief..

I remember being scared.

But still, I continued..

Everything is still the same. People still come and go. Same feelings are felt.

Or so I thought..

But, no. There's something more. Something's different.. 

Like something's missing.. 

Something's lost..

I can feel it..

But none is certain.

Perhaps it wasn't important..

So I did not mind and continued.

I continued to walk absent-mindedly and before I knew it, I was all alone..

All alone in the middle of the dark endless path..

Scared..

No. 

Terrified.. 

What I lost..

It was me.

I lost myself.. 

I have no idea how and when.

I froze..

I cried..

I cried so hard until there's none left.

I snapped back into reality. 

Crying the same amount of tears.

Feeling the same emotions..

That was just a dream.. I know. 

But that was also my reality.
