NIKKI & NIKKU- PART I

Not all voids need to be filled, some voids need to be closed.

“How was it? Did you enjoy” asked Mikku.

“Best of best” replied Nikita, who was elated with joy.

“Why? I mean Wow but yes why, because last time, do you remember what you said about the meeting”

“Yes I do remember, I said ‘worst of worst meeting that I ever had, this is the first time and all’ yes I do remember.”

“But then how, when and why”

“I guess, it was all prejudice. The friendship, which has started, will be forever.

“Okay fine, now tell me in detail. Even I want to know what was it” laughed Mikku.

“Mikku, I will call you after half an hour. I just reached home, I need to freshen up and text Nikash”

“Okay. Bye Nikki. Take care” laughed Mikku and then he cut the phone.

Nikita went to the washroom, splashed some water on her face, had some water and then she started laughing very loudly. “What the hell was planning to do” she asked herself and again laughed.

Nikita Sharma or Nikki, as called by her friends, was a twenty one years old young woman. Young woman and not a girl, because of her latest decision, which she took five minutes back. The young woman closed her eyes and smiled again. She started recalling, what had happened one month.

“How was it? Did you enjoy?’asked Mikku.

“It was the worst of worst meetings I ever had. This is the first time I felt so annoyed after meeting someone” replied annoyed Nikita and then she cut the phone.

Her frustration was the reason of her anger. How could she not find, any similarity, any common interest. If there are two humans, they are bound to have 0.1% of similarity. If not interests related to hobbies, it could have been studies, we were having the same streams, not exactly but yes almost same. It was very odd for her. A day before, she had met Nikash. Nikash’s best friend Pritam, was their common friend. Pritam was Nikash’s college friend and Nikita’s childhood friend. Nikita and Pritam had known for the last sixteen years. They were very close, less of friends but more of a family. Nikita never called him Pritam and nor did Pritam called her Nikita. They were Nikki and Mikku for each other. Their friendship grew so strong in the last ten years, that their families also became family friends. Any good news, about either of the two, would first be received by the leaders of the house, their mothers and then the other two would break the news to other. Mikku was an intelligent person. Only rational decisions were expected from him. Out of hundred times, he would take correct decisions ninety nine times. The only one time he would not do so, was when his beloved ones were in some distress. And Nikki was surely in some distress. And Nikash could be the solution for Nikki's distress. He had known Nikash for so many years, his jovial nature might fill the newly created 'void' in Nikki's life. Also Nikki's sincerity might help Nikash to recover. Moreover both of them knew each other. Mikku would tell Nikash about his friend Nikki and Nikita about Nikku. And hence he plotted a plan. He would often invite Nikku, when Nikki was invited too. Gradually they started knowing each other. However they never had one to one conversation. Mikku's principles didn't allow him to do so but he was still doing it. Why then? Because he could not see his best friend's broken heart, which demanded immediate replacement of some valves and veins. And then the day came. The day for his master plotting came. He had put his heart and soul into it. But alas !!!! it turned out a disaster. 

But why did the meeting between Nikki and Nikku turned out so bitter, when they were nice and cordial to each other? Why? And will they ever re-unite after this? If yes on what terms then? Moreover which void would Nikku fill or how would Nikki heal Nikku? What were their back stories.
