The day my earthly body perishes
I wish to burst into color-
All the bright and dark ones
That comprise my soul.
I wish to vanish into the air
And meet with the other colors
And join in their endless venture
Over the vast beauty of the world.
I wish to be there-
Unseen in daylight,
But shining bright at night,
Dancing in the heavens.
I wish to be called the name
That I've always admired
While I lived on earth:
Aurora Borealis.
