"Where do we go after we die?"
The moon played hide and seek, while the clouds slowly drifted in the dark sky. Breeze, a bit chilly, a bit cold, made her hair dance, as I watched, transfixed at her beauty.
She was beautiful. The moonlight, decorated her pretty face while her eyes, gazing the night sky, was lost in deep thinking. And I? Lost in the depth of her heart.
"Where do we go after we die? ", she repeated and looked towards me.
I gazed at the brown iris of her, before looking at the sky.
" The body is reduced to ashes so nowhere", I replied.
She, like a kid, pouted and sat down on the green grass. I slowly went beside her and rested my head on her lap while she caressed my hairs. I looked at her and found she is staring at me, wanting a better and an interesting answer.
"Souls, they never die they say. So after we die, we gonna end up as souls.", I added.
"And", she asked.
" And our souls would travel the universe, discovering it's secret. It's dark past. It's bright future. "
"How come it's going to be a bright future? ", she interrupted.
" Hope ", I muttered.
" Hope, dear, is a fragile thing.", she said and she smiled.
"Hope, dear, is a beautiful thing too.", I replied and I smiled.
The silent night allowed her heart to be heard. Her heart played a symphony, making it my favourite rhapsody. A calm spell to my chaos.
I could feel her gentle touch on my hairs, while her curls tickled my cheeks.
"Promise to stick with me, until the day we stopped breathing.", she said in an anxious voice.
" I promise."
"But what after we die?" curiosity tingling in her voice.
"What after that?", I asked .
" What if our souls get lost, while we travel the universe?", she asked and she closed her eyes.
"Let's head towards the North Star. Maybe our path will intersect. And our destination will be the same so I will meet you there if we never came across on each other's path. " I answered and closed my eyes.
She bent and whispered before kissing my forehead, "Bring fairy wings for me."
I could feel love illuminating from her and I smiled, "In exchange of stardust, it's a yes" , I smiled and felt her love.
