she whispered softly


You look tired,

Your eyes are weary,

Skinned knees and broken bones

A body not even your soul could call home


“That’s not nice, not even close” she cried


But don’t you see?

Even after the heavy down pour

you are still here, lying next to me

not even a second close from leaving


Honey, that's not just nice,

It’s breathtakingly beautiful,

If you’d ask me
