My head swirled, my legs wobbled
a stream of sweat shone at the sunlight,
flowed down, wet the sand at my feet.
I felt weak, exhausted.
Had I been standing, for hours
under the the celestial fireball
fondly people called the Sun.
I wait, first calmly, then irritated,
then with a revengeful mind,
for the clock to tick fast,
for the awaited noon bell to ring
just before the loud chorus of happiness
would hit the four walls
that bordered the school.
That moment, the one waited for
my punishment will end.
The one I bore, though reason unknown.
