Regrets

It was the first time I saw you

With another girl

It made me want to smack myself in the head; and then it hit me. I was so dumb to leave.
You were everything that every other guy wasn't.

Judging from the glances you make, you don't like her; You love her. I know because you use to look at me that way.
Your smile was like that of a little boy who found his favorite toy.

I can tell she loves you too. She looks at you like your eyes were the entire galaxy, listens to you intently and smiles wholeheartedly.

You didn't see me but I watched you and I saw that you were happy. Happier than you were with me and I think you deserved it. I deserve this too; To feel the pain, to feel regret that it makes me want to win you back but I can't, I won't because we had our chance. It didn't work. I had to accept that.

The other thing that I have felt after seeing you is hope. Hope that someday, in the right time, I can be happy too; and that we would see each other and we can tell that we both have what we wanted and we were in a good place.

I hope that she will not break your heart after  collecting it's pieces. The pieces I broke.  I hope you'll complete each other's puzzle, because we never did and I hope she doesn't leave you and regret like I did.
