She.

She was symbol of hope,

She was symbol of strength.

She was the reasons of hundreds of smile,

But she never showed her pain.

I remember, when I was small,

She came back from school, limping.

She said she had fallen,

But the reality was totally different.

She was bullied, when she was small.

They spat at her food, tripped her whenever she walked.

They laughed as she cried, crushed her heart at a very tender age.

I remember, her mother used to leave her in her neighbour's house,

And thought she would be safe.

The nightmares she got there, where unexplainable.

She stood petrified, as he touched her.

She closed her eyes, clenched her fist, trembled in fear,

While the devil explored her.

All this suffering, all this pain,

But she never showed her tear, and smiled from within.

Time passed as she came over this,

But again something happened,

That broke her away.

She was probably in standard 8th and was asked to narrate.

Her voice cracked, and it shook.

Tears fell from her eyes, leaving people confused.

After that, she was never the same.

She sat at a corner, seldom spoke.

Teachers called her a quiet soul,

But the reality, people had silenced her heart.

Time passed, and new changes came,

She started smiling once again.

She started living once again.

She enjoyed, what life had gifted her.

After so much endurance, so much pain,

She started living once again.

But again a plot twist occurred.

Sweet promises, all broken.

Every single happiness, started fading away.

They left her alone, quite opposite of what they said.

All secrets, started getting spilt.

She watched silently as everybody cursed her.

She stood while the others laughed at her.

People stopped feeling her plight,

Making it worse for her to live.

The wings with which she flew, all clipped.

All this while I could do nothing to make her smile.

But I feel her soul slowly decaying away.

She was a symbol of hope.

She was a symbol of strength.

She was the reason of hundreds of smile.

But now she seldom smiles.

Please don't let her die.
