Silence is dark
As sun sets and frost covers grass
When the only light is of moon and stars
You may call it dark
When everyone sleeps and the dogs bark
You may call it silence
But do you know what pitch dark and pin drop silence is
Have you expierenced a night, so dark and quiet that you feel you're alone in this world
Do you know what grips one when you can't see a glare and darkness is all you can stare
And there is no one with whom you might share
Share a moment, a thought, emotion or simply the knowledge that there is someone who'll care
Fear, yes fear is the word which at that very moment becomes your world
You have heard of demons, devil, satan, ghosts; yes fear has different names
But have you seen one, have you felt one, have you been chased by one , have you been tormented by one
First you feel your heart beat, so fast so loud as if someone is pounding it
Then you'll feel the sweat, your senses will be numb, you'll want to run but you can't move your body because someone so strong, has grounded it
Then you'll turn cold, not like snow but like hails on the verge to break
You give up, you make your peace with inevitable mortality and no longer gasp for air
The only thing you pray for is to make it easy
Then from vein to vein the blood freezes, you beg for death, but for him there's no fun sans a bit of teasing
He dwells on your fear, the timid you get the mightier he becomes
You realize all you got is your spirit,
If you fight, you might survive
The dawn is near, can you dodge him till there's light and you see snow white?
An observation of current happenings in our nation by an average not anti national Indian.
